Would the concentration of reactants NOT decrease....?

Consider the equilibrium...

underbrace(A+B) rightleftharpoons underbrace(C+D)

And HERE clearly, "left and right", means AS WE FACE THE PAGE....

A shift to the product side, the right hand side, means increased concentrations of C+D...and if (somehow) we can REMOVE C+D from the equilibrium mix...we might be able to drive the equilibrium to completion....
