Keeping the same ratio top to bottom (numerator to denominator) we need to change the 5 into 100.

Multiply top and bottom by 20

#(3xx20)/(5xx20) =60/100#

There are two ways of writing percentage.

In this case we have 60 percent which can be written as:

#60/100 -> color (white)("ddddddd")60xx1/100#

#60/100 -> 60%->60xx%#

As both represent the same thing and if we directly compare them it becomes evident that #xx1/100# is equivalent to #xx%#
