An electron neutrino is a subatomic elementary particle with no electric charge, little mass, and a spin of ½.

Electron neutrinos are produced during positron decay.

For example,

₁₂²³Mg → ₁₁²³Na + ₁⁰e + #ν_"e"#

In contrast, beta decay produces electron antineutrinos.
