Asexual Reproduction, in simple definition, refer to the process of production of offsprings without the involvement of any gametes. Further, only one parent is required for this process. It is a simple mitotic process. It is responsible for the production of organisms which are morphologically and genetically similar to each other, commonly referred to as Clones.

There are various ways of producing progenies asexually. The two of which, can be written as:
1. Binary fission: It is a process where a single organism, upon reaching to the level of maturity, splits into two daughter organisms resembling the former. It is usually seems in Amoeba proteus.
2. Budding: It is a process in which a mature organism (ex. Hydra) produces a bulged bud on the body which detaches under suitable conditions. The detached bud then attaches to ground and grows as a completely new individual.

Hope this helps.
