It is the physical process that finally splits the parent cell into two daughter cells.
Explanation:
The cell membrane pinches in at the cell equator, forming a cleft otherwise known as a cleavage.
As the organelles in the cells have been replicated by now, each of the daughter cell are genetically-identical to its parent cell.
