When you have an exponent in the argument of the logarithm, it can be "kicked to the front" as a multiplier.
${\log}_{b} {\left(b\right)}^{x} = x {\log}_{b} \left(b\right)$

Since ${\log}_{b} \left(b\right) = 1 , x {\log}_{b} \left(b\right) = x$
