Look at explanantion

Consider the -14 from #-14x#

Apply: #(-1/2)xx(-14)=+7#

From this we have

#x_("vertex")=+7#

So axis of symmetry is #x=7#

Substitute 7 for #x# in the original equation to find

#y_("vertex")=(7)^2-14(7)+13#
