The big bang theory is simply that out of a singularity our universe literally exploded into existence.
Explanation:
There are no present alternative scientific theories. We have singularities all over the universe today. They are called black hole, the bottom of which is a singularity. For clarity, a singularity is where the space/time continuum ceases to exist.
