# What is the domain and range of f(x)=3/x?

The domain is $\mathbb{R} - 0$ (that is all Real values excluding $0$)
The range is also $\mathbb{R} - 0$
$f \left(x\right) = \frac{3}{x}$ is obviously not defined when $x = 0$ but can be evaluated for any other value of $x$
$\textcolor{w h i t e}{\text{XXXX}}$$x = \frac{3}{f} \left(x\right)$
it is clear that $f \left(x\right)$ has a range with only $0$ excluded (by the same reasoning as for the domain).
