Here,
The function f(x) is only defined when 8.5-3x $\ge$ 0

SO,

-3x $\ge$ -8.5

Multiplying both sides with - .

or, 3x $\le$ 8.5

or, x $\le \frac{8.5}{3}$

So domain of F(x) is x $\le \frac{8.5}{3}$

Now since you can only put value x $\le \frac{8.5}{3}$ and when you put the maximum value i.e. $\frac{8.5}{3}$ , you get 0 which means the lesser values you add the more you will get.

So the range of F(x) is f(x) $\ge$ 0.
