What is the erosion of sediment by wind called?

The ability of wind to create changes on the landscape (wind erosion) is specifically referred to as Aeolian (eolian) processes derived from the Greek mythical figure Aeolus the Keeper of the Winds.


The product of Aeolian processes are most evident in dry deserts where strong winds mobilize massive amounts of sand/sediment from one place to another (sandstorms) or large sandstones are shaped into peculiar rock formations as shown below.enter image source here
