Retroperitonial organs are with peritoneum from one side only.

Explanation:

In abdominal cavity are of two types. Some are suspended encircled with peritoneum. Other organs are retroperitonial. Small intestine and large intestine are encircled with peritoneum.

On the other hand kidney , liver and ureter are retroperitonial.
Peritoneum keeps abdominal organs in position.

Whether suspended or retroperitonial peritoneum keeps organs in position.
