What is the melting point for benzene?

Explanation:
This is unusually high for a low molecular mass organic material. Possibly the planarity of the ring allows for a stable crystal structure. And it has caught out quite a few students and organic chemists when they chilled a benzene solution in ice water, and they crystallized out sugary crystals of benzene (of course, they would think that they had crystallized out their product not the solvent).
