At first I thought that the most important reaction was respiration, the set of reactions in our cells that keeps us alive by combining glucose with oxygen and provides the energy that keeps us alive.
Then I realized that we would not be alive without the oxygen in the first place.
The most important reaction is photosynthesis the process in which plants take in carbon dioxide, water, and the Sun's energy and generate the oxygen we need to live.

Without photosynthesis we would not be here.
