# What is the most likely oxidation state of aluminum?

$A {l}^{3 +}$, i.e. $A l \left(I I I +\right)$
Actually looking around the kitchen, I see zerovalent aluminum, i.e. in the window frames, and as aluminum foil. The 3 valence electrons of the metal are, however, easily removed, and $A {l}^{3 +}$ compounds are by far the most common.
