What is the oxidation of each element in Na(vanadium hexacarbonyl)? (also, what would be the full name of it?)

NaV#(CO)_6#

Well, you formally got #Na^+[V(CO)_6]^-#

Explanation:

Clearly oxidation state of #Na^+# is #+I#...for the #[V(CO)_6]^-# unit you strip away the ligands to give #V^(-)# AND #6xxCO#...and so the metal takes a subvalent oxidation number i.e. #V(-I)#....

Metal carbonyls usually follow the 18 electron rule....and this beast follows this trend... Capisce?

As to the naming, you are on your own....perhaps #"sodium hexcarbonyl vanadate(-I)"#
