Bacteria in soil, is usually a decomposer.

Explanation:

Bacteria, is found in many different habitats, including your kitchen, your body, your cat, your wall, you catch my drift.

But Bacteria in soil, usually is a decomposer & acts slightly like that of those in our gut, except the ones in our gut do not make us ill.

It helps to recycle & break down those nutrients that are locked up inside organic matter once it dies, along with many other organisms, without these organisms, we'd most likely be multiple feet up in dead matter.

Hope this helps.
