What is the slope of the line passing through the following points: (-3, -2) ; (-8,8)?

The slope of the line is -2.

Explanation:

The slope of any line can be found out if two of its co-ordinates are known. We have the following formula for the slope of aline where the two co-ordinates are given. (m is the slope of the line).
m = $\frac{y 2 - y 1}{x 2 - x 1}$

Here let the first set of co-ordinates be $x 1 = - 3$ and $y 1 = - 2$.
and the second set is $x 2 = - 8$ and $y 2 = 8$.
Substituting in the formula, you will have $m = - 2$
