We know that the internal bisector of an angle of a triangle divides the opposite side in the ratio of the sides containing the bisected angle.

Since line segment #LO# bisects internal #angleNLM#

#=>(LM)/(LN)=(MO)/(ON)#

Inserting given values we get

#(18)/(10)=(x)/(4)#
#=>x=(18)/(10)xx4#
#=>x=7.2\ units#
