In animal cells, cells are made up of several sub-cellular parts; the nucleus contains the chromosomes within which is the DNA and so forth. In the cells, there is cytoplasm which contains sub-cellular parts (including the nucleus), there is also ribosomes and mitochondria.
Cells differentiate to perform different tasks within the body, e.g. nerve cells, skin cells, muscle cells and blood cells (red blood cells don't contain a nucleus).
Tissues are made of collections of cells, organs are made up of different tissues and finally, organ systems are made up of a number of organs.
