Both eggs might be penetrated by different sperms resulting in fraternal twins.

Explanation:

If two eggs are released during the same menstrual cycle both eggs can be fertilized at roughly the same time. Then both fertilized eggs can be captured by the Uterus and nurtured into two living organisms.

Since the two resulting embryos are from two different eggs and two different sperms the embryos will be different. About half the time one of the embryos will be male and one of embryos will be female.
