Cardiac muscles are involuntary striated muscles that are found in the walls and histological foundation of the heart.

Explanation:

The cells that constitute cardiac muscles are called cardiomyocytes.

The myocardium is the muscle tissue of the heart and forms a thick middle layer between the outer epicardium and inner endocardium layer. The cardiac muscles depend on available blood and electrical supply to deliver oxygen and nutrients and remove waste products such as carbon dioxide. They predominantly contain only one nucleus.

Each myocardial cell consists of myofibrils. Myofibrils are organelles that consist of long chains of sarcomeres (contractile units). Cardiomyocytes have a high mitochondrial density, which allows them to produce ATP quickly, making them highly resistant to fatigue.
