A lever has three parts.
1. Fulcrum, F
2. Weight, W
3. Effort, E (required to lift this weight).

All levers fall into three types. As one of above three can be in the middle. Depending on what is in the middle decides the type of lever it is.
First type: Fulcrum in the middle.
Second type: Weight in the middle.
Third type: Effort in the middle.

In the case of seesaw, Fulcrum being in the middle, see picture above, it belongs to the First type.
