Epstein Barr Virus


The Epstein Barr virus from the Herpes family of viruses causes Infectious Mononucleosis. The virus is spread by contact with bodily fluids, primarily saliva. Mononucleosis is known as the kissing disease, but can be spread by sharing drinking glasses or tooth brushes.
