What was the effect of the fact that Carnegie was an avid reader and learner?
The effect of Carnegie's love for education led him to donate about $5 million to the New York Public Library in order for the library to make several more branches. Later on, he donated so much so that 2,800 libraries were opened with his support.
So we can thank Andrew Carnegie for his love for education. Otherwise, I don't think we would have as many libraries as we do have today in America.
