The Nazis' purpose for creating the ghettos was to concentrate Jewish prisoners into walled or fenced areas where they could be contained and supervised.

Explanation:

Ghettoes were terribly insufferable and inhumane compounds where thousands of citizens were forced to live in squalid conditions for months or years. After that they were transported to death camps or in some cases were killed inside the ghetto.

Starvation, displacement, humiliation, torture, and murder were used as weapons to control the Jewish inhabitants and to make their lives miserable.
