  • Refusal of the authority of the Pope

  • Predestination is the rule for salvation, not Free Will. It means God chose in advance who is to be saved.

  • Iconoclasm instead of Iconophilia, it means no representation of Christ(or Saints) is allowed.

  • Worship of Saints and of Virgin Mary is suppressed and forbidden.

  • Catholic Rites such as Eurachrist (based on the idea of Transubsstantiation which Luther contested) are suppressed.

  • The clergy has a different function and less hierarchy(no hierarchy or so for Calvinists), they are allowed to get married and cannot forgive sins unlike Catholic Priests( the latter are said to be superior to angels due to that function).
