Explanation:

This reaction describes the synthesis of ammonia #NH_3# (at any temperature and pressure). At room temperature and standard pressure the yield of ammonia would be very low (and the reaction slow), so the reaction is usually carried out at very high pressure and temperature.

This reaction is of immense importance as it was the first time a nitrogen compound that could be taken up by plants (a fertilizer) had been synthetically prepared from atmospheric nitrogen. Nobel Prize stuff for Fritz Haber in the early 1900s.
