About #7xx10^7# (i.e. #70# million) years ago

Explanation:

The north star Polaris is actually #3# stars close together and two more distant stars.

The largest of the stars making up Polaris, denoted #alpha# UMi Aa is a yellow supergiant star, with a mass about #4.5# times our sun.

The first companion discovered was #alpha# UMi B, a main sequence star, weighing in at about #1.4# solar masses and orbiting at a distnace of #2400# AU

The second companion #alpha# UMi Ab is also a main sequence star, wighing in at #1.26# solar masses but orbiting relatively close to #alpha# UMi Aa, at a distance of #18.8# AU.

#alpha# UMi Aa, #alpha# UMi B and #alpha# UMi Ab are all about #7 xx 10^7# years old.
