Europe, more specifically France and Italy.

Explanation:

The relative stalemate of the western front in France had many seesaw campaigns. August through October 1918 brought the fighting to the German borders. Germany could have continued to fight but the supply situation was grim brought on by the British Naval Blockade. Revolution began to spread through Germany. The German Navy Mutinied. The Kaiser finally abdicated and headed for neutral Holland.

Recovering from the defeat of Caporetto the previous year, the Italian victories around Piave River helped cause the Austro-Hungarian Empire to collapse. The Battle of Vittoro Veneto (October 24 to November 3, 1918) opened the road for armies to advance through southern Europe to Germany. Austrian soldiers began to refuse to fight and the component parts of the empire began to declare independence. This new front for the German high command was the last straw and armistice talks began.
