Well, #"H"^(+)# is found in MOST BUT NOT ALL acids.


Or, that's what Lewis should say... There are Lewis acids that do not have #"H"^(+)# in them, such as #"AlCl"_3#, #"FeBr"_3#, and #"BF"_3#.

And there are Arrhenius acids and Brønsted-Lowry acids that do have such #"H"^(+)# ions, such as #"HBr"# and #"CH"_3"COOH"# (or #"HC"_2"H"_3"O"_2#).
