Postmodernism

Explanation:

Postmodernism is a literary movement which started after WWII. Malcolm Lowry's Under the Volcano(1947) is one of the first examples. It was given a major impulse in the sixties and seventies and continues today. Writers such as DeLillo, Auster or McEwan and Barnes are good examples of this trend.

Postmodernism is not only present in Literature but examples of it can be found in most arts(including architecture) and it aims at abolishing the distinction between popular culture and art.
