Mitosis happens in both animal and plant cells.
Also, both types of Eukaryotic cells have energy production and a nucleus.

Explanation:

Mitosis is asexual reproduction in a cell. It can happen in animal and plant cells, especially when the cells die and need to be replaced. It also occurs during growth of the plant (from a seedling) or from an embryo into an adult animal form.

Prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase followed by cytokinesis occur in both kinds of cells.

Other identical processes in both cell types include DNA replication, transcription, and translation. These refer to the genes being copied, and then made eventually into cell components called proteins. These proteins give the cell its qualities, or characteristics (like blue eye color or red flower petals).

Energy in the form of ATP MUST be made in all cells. In animal cells, however, the mitochondria convert food into ATP. It differs slightly in plant cells. In plants and trees and grasses, solar energy-sunlight-is made into sugar first. This plant sugar is stored in the plant. It then is broken down by the plant mitochondria for immediate ATP when the need is crucial.
