Which states use the least water?
The amount of water a state uses depends on the size of the state, population of the state, the industries within the state, and the regulations of water usage in the state.
Data from 2010 shows that the states with the lowest overall usage are Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont, and South Dakota. Washington DC and the US Virgin Islands also have very low water usage.
