Those who are material realists and atheists or anti theists.

Explanation:

The most recent scientific observations indicate that the present universe had a beginning and will have an ending. (The red shift observed by Hubble indicates that the Universe had a beginning.)(The empirical evidence that rate of expansion of the universe is increasing 1997 indicates that the Universe will have an ending.

The empirical evidence is strongly indicative that the observable universe of matter and energy is neither eternal or self existent. This means that something must exist besides the matter and energy that is observable. The scientific evidence now indicates that the our universe is an open system. This means that something beside matter and energy that can be observed must exist.

The world view of material realism is that matter and energy is all that exists or can exists. This world view denies the possibility of anything outside of matter and energy. This results in a belief in atheisism or an aversion to any belief in the supernatural.

Since the empirical evidence that our present universe is not all that there is the material realist must believe that there are multi universes. Matter and energy are believed to be eternal, our present universe is clearly not eternal so to believe in material realism there must be other universes. The main reason for believing in the multiverse theory is to maintain belief in material realism

The multi universe theory is based on a belief structure not on empirical evidence. Those who hold the belief structure of material realism, atheists and anti theists believe in the multiverse theory.
