Why can we not see stars during the day time?

Stars are there but we cannot see them due to scattering of light.

Explanation:

In the day the stars are still there, but you cannot see them because they are so much fainter than the sunlight that is scattered by our atmosphere. If the Earth had no atmosphere, then during daytime sky would be black like one at night, except that the sun would appear as a huge spotlight shining down at us.However, due to earth's atmosphere the light gets scattered.
