Global warming is the recent small increases in average global temperature. It affects us by changing local climates,

Explanation:

The average global temperature has increased slightly in recent history. This will have an affect on global climate.

If the temperature continues to increase areas such as Greenland might become arable land like they were in the Global warming period at the time of the Vikings. Parts of Canada that are too cold for agriculture will become bread baskets of the world. The fabled northwest passage will again be open as ships will be able to sail across the Arctic Sea from Eastern Asia to Europe and from Europe across the Atlantic to the Pacific.

Tropical and semi tropical areas will become warmer and more humid. The type of climate seen in Mazaoic strata with lush fern forest that formed the coal beds, and large cold blooded reptiles and snakes that can thrive in the warmer climates.

Areas like Nebraska, and Pennsylvania will become more like Mediterrian climates similar to California where crops can be grown all year long.

Some areas of the earth will definitely benefit from a global warming trend. Other areas will be adversely affected. Man kind will have to adapt to the changes as Mankind has adapted in the past as in the Ice Ages of recent history.
