Why isn't there any water on the Martian surface?

1 Answer

Water to remain in liquid state atmospheric pressure should me more than that prevailing on mars.Gravity of mars surface is also lower than Earth..

Explanation:

On earth with normal atmospheric pressure of 1.02 bar, water boils at 100 degree c .But when this is lower water boils at lower temperature. So water become vapor and due to low gravity it escapes into space.
