Why would a red blood cells count be high?

The size of red blood cells is related with diameter of capillaries

Explanation:

In human being the capillaries are having a narrow diameter. Some of the capillaries are just one red cell thick.
Narrow capillaries reach deeper parts of glands and tissues. This is the reason why number of red cells is too high.
Only amphibians have larger red cells.
