The wavelength (and the frequency) of light is different for light of different colors.
A light ray with shorter wavelength bends the more than a light ray with longer wavelength.
A simple illustration of this fact is the formation of a rainbow or dispersion of light by a prism. Since, light contains several wavelengths, the extent of refraction is different wavelengths is different.
