The elements in the periodic table are arranged in such a manner that elements with similar chemical properties recur at regular intervals.


Elements in the same group have the electronic structures and fall below each other.All the elements in the same group have the same number of electrons in its last shell, hence, the behave in a similar chemical way because it is the outermost electrons that take part in chemical reactions.
