Basically a liner equation will not give you a curve on a graph

graph{x = y - 15 [-20, 20, -10, 10]}

S you can see on this graph there is a straight line.

We can alseo say that a linear equation is expressed in the form# y = mx + a#

This in other words will mean when there is no parabola in the graph the degree of the equation will be 1
