No, we can't.

The focal length of a lens is a result of the construction of the lens. Things like amounts of curvature, types of glass used, etc.
With a single simple lens the colour of the light has a small influence. But never the distance.

If you change the object distance , the image distance will also change, but not the focal length.

Exception :
The lens in our eyes does change its focal length according to object distance, because the image distance in the eye is fixed. Actually we change the 'construction' of the lens itself by increasing or decreasing the curcvature.
