Are you sure you're only allowed to use the Cauchy-Riemann equations in your question here? Usually people prove this by using the Cauchy integral formula. Your question is essentially to prove Liouville's Theorem, which says that the only bounded entire functions (analytic over the entire complex plane) are constant functions.
