# What is a volume of 70*cL?

Mar 24, 2016

Do you mean $70$ $c L$?

#### Explanation:

Bottles of spirits used to be $750$ $m L$, now they are $700$ $m L$. i.e. $0.70$ $L$ (obviously the volume has reduced because of expense, and of course most of us drink too much!).

So, what's a $c L$? $1$ $c L$ $=$ ${10}^{-} 2 L$ $=$ $10$ $m L$. (Why? $1$ $L$ $=$ $1000 \cdot m L$ $=$ $100 \times 10 \cdot m L$ $=$ $100$ $c L$

So $70$ $c L$ $=$ $70 \times 10 \cdot m L$ $=$ $700$ $m L$.

Note that bottles of wine still hold a $750$ $m L$ volume of vino. How many $c L$ is this?
