Dry skin can be a symptom of a deficiency in vitamin A as it helps with the growth and repair of skin cells but dry skin can also be the symptom of eczema.
This happens when you don't moisturise enough the skin.
To prevent dry skin you should:
- Moisturise often the skin with creams and ointments instead of lotions.
- Immediately hydrate the skin with creams after a shower or bath as water damages skin.
- Spend a short amount of time in the shower or bath to minimise damage of the skin.
- Wear lip balm.
- Use gentle, unscented skin products.
