6=3*2
12=3 * 2 * 2
Now it is easy to see that both 3 and 6 can be pretty easily turned into 12.

needs to be multiplied by 4

6=3*2
needs to be multiplied by 2

12=3 * 2 * 2
is just fine.

so...

(2/3x *4/4)- (4/6x*2/2) + 5/12x

8/12x- 8/12x + 5/12x

now combine them
(8-8+5)/12x

5/12x
