When you see anything, the light from that object travels to your eyes
When it goes to the eyes, the image is formed in the retina where there are rods and cones, which react to the light from the image and trigger nerve cells to send impulses along the optic nerve to the visual cortex of the brain, which does the seeing part.
Both the images from both the eyes are converged into one another, thus you see 1 whole image through the visual cortex, which receives the two separate images
