How can I draw diagrams that I can add to my answers?

Use a drawing tool outside of Socratic and save as a graphics file
then, in Socratic, use the "Image" button (above the Answer box) to select your saved image into your answer.

I often just use MS-Paint (for simplicity); save as a gif (I'm not sure what other formats are acceptable); I do enough of these diagrams that I have a Socratic-Images directory on each of my computers which helps with the management.
I think I recall running into a problem once with image file size, so this might be an issue (or maybe not).

I use MS Paint for most of my diagrams, but for questions that involve geometry or graphs, I use Geogebra and my computer's snip tool to get good images.
