There are basically 3.

Explanation:

First, according to this system fungi are placed in kingdom plantae. Even though fungi and plants do have similarities but they have major differences to be placed in the same kingdom,(fungi being hetrotrophic with chitin in their cell walls while plants being autotrophic with cellulose in their cell walls)

Secondly, according to this system, there is no distinction of prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms, and prokaryotes were also placed in Plantae, which was not logical.

Thirdly, euglena-like organisms, that had both plant like and animal like characteristics, were also placed in plantae.( They could photosynthesize but were hetrotrophs in the dark, so they were neither truly plants nor animals).

Due to above three defects, 3 more kingdoms were proposed later on, kingdom fungi for all fungi, kingdom monera for prokaryotes and kingdom protista for protists (organisms that could not be placed in other four kingdoms.
